About the Poster

This oversized wall poster is the state-of-the-art in trout identification and appreciation. Thirty-four types of magnificent trout by master-illustrator Joseph R. Tomelleri appear in relative scale—from the tiny golden trout to the massive steelhead. Each fish is represented at 40% of average size, all depicted with breathtaking accuracy. It’s the perfect marriage of art and information design—a celebration of the diversity of our most beautiful gamefish.

About the Artist

Joseph R. Tomelleri graduated with an M.S. in Biology and pursued research in botany before becoming a full-time artist in 1986. Since then, he has traveled extensively around North America collecting specimens and photographing native fishes to create his illustrations. His work has appeared in dozens of magazines, journals, and many books including Cutthroat: Native Trout of the West (UCA Press, 2008), About Trout (Lyons Press, 2007), Fishes of Alabama (Smithsonian, 2004), and Trout and Salmon of North America (Free Press, 2002). His work is featured in the Trout of North America Eighteen Card Set, the Trout of North America Poster, Freshwater Gamefish of North America Eighteen Card Set, and Freshwater Gamefish of North America Poster all from Scott & Nix, Inc. Tomelleri lives in Leawood, Kansas.

About the Frames

The poster is shipped fully framed with wire hanging hardware, bumper stickers to protect your wall, and nails.

All shipments are sent via Federal Express Ground in a specially designed shipping container to arrive in perfect condition.

Orders take 2–3 business days to process and arrive to most destinations within 2–3 days.
